Kuralink was founded 16 years ago, at that time under the name of Boka Doktorn, with a strong focus on developing digital technology to streamline communications regarding bookings for patients with private health insurance. The aim was to create value for private care providers and insurance companies by relieving them of administrative duties and saving them time.
Since then, our platform has been developed to deliver a holistic solution that collaborates to streamline organisations at multiple levels with the aid of digital technology. In addition to bookings, communication, document management, digital invoicing and the handling of referrals, the platform also offers a customer portal where the patient can follow up their own case.
The platform recently changed its name from Boka Doktorn to Kuralink!

In the early 2000s, Patrik Johansson collaborated closely with a clinic in Gothenburg to test a new tool for the hearing impaired. His entrepreneurial mind picked up on other problems and needs during this peridode. He noted that in its communication with care providers, the clinic passed several manual ranks such as phone calls, faxes, letters, and long wait times to implement something as simple as a booking for care.
There and then he asked himself whether these ranks could not be shortened with digital technology in order to save time?
Patrik began to investigate the problem and soon he had mapped out where digital technology could create value. The pattform, which would soon be named Boka Doktorn, began to take shape.
Patrik commissioned a developer to start coding a simple booking system where care providers could log in to make an appointment for the care applicants at the healthcare provider. Book the Doctor saw his first days and the rest is history!

The Chalmerist student Oscar Hallbeg, then 25, saw an advertisement in the magazine in 2006 where a startup sought help with development. He saw an opportunity to work extra during his studies and contacted Patrik Johansson.
Oscar further developed the platform and built a good foundation for adding new functionality that could offer more than one booking system.
They both did not know then that the platform would one day become Sweden's leading platform in handling cases from private health insurance.
Soon the company grew into a team of 5 people, each with clear goals and assignments. To create real value for customers by shortening multiple manual stages in the administration of booking and document management.

Our company continued to grow with staff, functionality and customers. The platform created value for insurance companies, private healthcare providers and patients by offering a complete claims management system.
Our parent company CAB Group caught the eye of Boka Doktor as they offered the same technical solutions for the automotive industry as Boka Doktor does for private health insurance.
In 2016, Boka Doktor was acquired by CAB Group, which gave us room to continue to grow and act as a subsidiary, today with a new company name; CAB Healthcare AB with the brand Kuralink Powered by CAB!
Through evolution we bring our heritage to the journey forward.
Thoughts of renaming the platform will begin to grow as early as 2015.
For us and our customers, it goes without saying that the platform offers much more than booking a doctor with whom the name can be associated.
But it is only in 2019 that the ideas began to come together into a plan when a group-wide brand journey began.
